Job Description
The System Development Team is seeking a graduate-level intern to support initiatives focused on improving operational efficiency across Atlantic Health provider practices. This role offers hands-on experience analyzing operational data, developing actionable insights, and supporting process improvement initiatives related to access, provider activity, and practice performance. The intern will collaborate with clinical, operational, financial, and technical teams while gaining exposure to physician practice operations and enterprise-level analytics.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze operational data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Support the development of dashboards and reports.
- Assist with documenting current operational practices that impact practice efficiency and downstream data quality.
- Collaborate with and learn from clinical, operational, financial, and technical teams.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a graduate-level accredited public or private College/University.
- Majoring in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Public Health, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with an interest in physician practice operations.
- Proficiency or prior exposure to Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
- Ability to, or desire to learn how to, translate data into clear insights.
- Willingness to communicate effectively with varied stakeholders.
- Exposure to and interest in healthcare operations and operational improvement.
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or national, asylee, refugee, or lawful permanent resident.
- Work 37.5 hours per week and commit to a minimum or 375 hours for the duration of the internship
- Must be committed to completing the duration of the internship from June 2026-August 2026
