Director of Rehab Services (Full Time)
The Director of Physical Therapy is directly responsible to the Administrator, or his designee, and has the responsibility for overall direction, utilization, supervision, instruction, and evaluation of professional and supportive staff, volunteers, and students utilized in the Physical Therapy department/facility. Additionally, the Director is responsible for the development, implementation, and monitoring of all patient care programs, plans for providing care, Performance Improvement programs, policies and procedures, maintaining adequate qualified and competent personnel, adequate space, and adequate equipment to ensure a high degree of quality patient care. The Director will also ensure effective integration of the department/facility and operations plan that compliment the organization’s plans for continuous performance improvement and the delivery of quality patient care. Interprets referrals, medical information and evaluates and examines the patient. Establish patient plan of care and reevaluate the patient’s condition. Completes medical record and coordinates clinical service, discharge planning and communication with other professionals.
Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm

EDUCATION: Graduate from an accredited physical therapy curriculum with a Masters Degree
EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years experience in Physical Therapy. Two (2) years experience in managerial or supervisory role.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR REGISTRATIONS: Alabama Board of Physical Therapy License, BLS within 90 days of hire.
EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, WORK AIDS: Office machines, Hand Tools, Diagnostic equipment. Patient therapeutic equipment/machines.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Ability to perform supervisory, management, and business skills. Knowledgeable in regulatory and facility policies, procedures, and guidelines. Ability to work with patients from birth to geriatric. Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical conditions, diseases, and injuries. Ability to solve diverse clinical issues with problem solving approach. Highly specialized therapeutic manual skills including myofascial, manipulative and wound care skills. Application of principles and theory of PT treatments. Knowledge of insurance policies and issues.
