Essential Job Functions

• Designs a developmentally appropriate course
  of study for students based upon established goals
• Conducts a requisite number of classes.’
• Teaches the assigned
  subject(s)
• Creates and maintains an environment conducive to excellence in teaching and learning
• Adherence with established
  teaching standards and safety regulations
• Maintains student records and provide reports as required
• Other related duties, as
  assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required, degree
  in Math or a closely related field preferred.
• Three (3) years of experience teaching Math at the secondary or postsecondary level
  preferred.
• Valid teacher certification preferred.

• Excellent communication skills, verbal, written, and interpersonal
  skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Passion for teaching and engaging with students
• Skilled in
  mentoring students
• Skilled in the use of databases and spreadsheet applications
• Ability to work well with colleagues and
  foster a collegial environment conducive to teamwork and students’ high level of learning
• Ability to work effectively with
  low-income and first-generation students
