Salary Range: The annual salary is $54,983, plus a comprehensive benefits package that includes tuition
waivers for the employee and eligible dependents. For internal candidates, the starting salary will be in accordance with the applicable

Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania is seeking a dedicated Learning Specialist to join our Academic Support team. This position
plays a key role in supporting student retention, persistence, and graduation by helping both undergraduate and graduate students overcome
academic challenges and reach their full potential.



The Learning Specialist provides one-on-one and group support,
teaching essential skills such as time management, note-taking, test-taking, and critical thinking, while developing individualized academic
plans and connecting students with campus and community resources. This position also involves designing and delivering workshops on study
strategies, resiliency, and exam preparation, collaborating with faculty and advisors to monitor student progress, selecting and creating
instructional materials, assisting in training Graduate Assistants, and serving as a liaison with the Office of Accessibility Resources to
ensure seamless support for students with disabilities. Ideal candidates bring experience providing direct academic support to college
students, knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), expertise supporting students with learning differences, experience
working with first-generation or at-risk student populations, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other digital
tools.
