Description

The Training & Development Manager will support the Teaching & Learning Center by assisting with the development and implementation of employee training programs, providing coordination for events and sessions, and managing department operations.

  • Assist with the development and delivery of training materials, presentations, and resources that meet institutional needs
  • Support the maintenance of the annual training calendar and schedule
  • Assist in the administration of the workshop system including session entry, participant registration, and attendance records management
  • Coordinate and set up training sessions and events, including room booking, equipment reservation, and materials
  • Support the management of the employee learning management system to develop, track, and deliver training
  • Coordinate communication within and between the Teaching & Learning Center and other departments including but not limited to newsletters, emails, and SharePoint pages
  • Track and report on training metrics to measure the impact and ROI of training programs
  • Maintain and organize departmental supplies and subscriptions, program materials, staff travel, and other budget items
  • Coordinate with purchasing staff and vendors to ensure timely delivery and cost-effectiveness
  • Monitor and track expenditures related to office supplies, staff travel, and other budget items; ensure compliance with budgetary guidelines
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university
  • Must possess a valid Texas Driver License, good driving record, and be insurable on Midland College’s insurance policy

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Two years of relevant professional or teaching experience
  • Experience in a college or university setting
  • Experience with educational technology and learning management systems

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
  • Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • This position may require occasional travel for training, meetings, and events both in and out of town
  • Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation
  • Use of manual dexterity
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with others verbally and electronically; must be able to exchange accurate information
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Frequently moves equipment or paperwork weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Office setting
