Assistant Dean of Nursing Pathways.
BENEFITS:
COMPENSATION: Nine-month full-time, special
appointment, non-tenure track position. Minimum starting salary: $47,100 – $58,874 (9 months – Master’s) OR $46,100 – $58,624 (9 months –
Bachelor’s), based on experience and education.

Position Description:
Bismarck State College invites applications for a full-time Assistant Teaching Professor of
Nursing. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated nursing professional who is passionate about teaching, student success, and
advancing the future of healthcare. As part of our dynamic Nursing Pathways team, you will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on
the next generation of nursing professionals.
Position Summary:
The Assistant Teaching Professor of Nursing
will play a vital role in fostering academic excellence and clinical competence in our students. This position involves teaching both
didactic and laboratory nursing courses, as well as supervising students in clinical settings and during their preceptorship experiences.
The successful candidate will serve as a mentor and resource for students, guiding them through their academic journey and helping prepare
them for licensure and professional practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach assigned nursing courses in
classroom, lab, and clinical settings with clarity, enthusiasm, and professionalism - Supervise students during clinical rotations and
preceptorships, ensuring alignment with course objectives and clinical best practices - Advise and mentor nursing students to support
their academic progress and professional development - Maintain accurate records, including attendance, grading, and clinical
evaluations - Submit final grades and required documentation in accordance with college deadlines
- Participate actively in
department and college committee work - Collaborate with faculty, staff, and administration to support student retention and program
success - Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Dean of Nursing Pathways and the Dean of the School of Current and
Emerging Technologies
Minimum Requirements:
- Master’s degree in nursing or a bachelor’s degree with
an agreement to obtain a master’s degree in three years - Current unencumbered North Dakota RN license
- Minimum of two years of
experience in nursing. - Must maintain continuing education as required by the North Dakota Board of Nursing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Documented successful teaching experience in the nursing field.
- More than
two years of nursing experience.
