Knox College is looking to hire a part -time, 2nd
shift, weekend Campus Safety Officer. We are looking for someone ready to make an impact & join a great team to work with!

Knox
invites applications for the part-time, 12-month position of Campus Safety Officer. This Campus Safety Officer will work on an as-needed
basis up to 24 hours per week, which may include any shift, including nights, weekends and/or holidays. This position reports to the
Director of Campus Safety.



Essential Duties:

  • Patrol campus in a vehicle and on foot for the protection of students, employees,
    visitors and their property
  • Respond to emergency situations and routine requests for service
  • Write incident
    reports
  • Enforce Knox College rules and regulations
  • Secure and provide authorized access to campus
    buildings
  • Coordinate with emergency services when required
  • Report any safety/security situations

Education and
Experience:


Required Qualifications:

  • Preferred- two or more years experience in security or law enforcement
  • Valid
    driver’s license
  • Ability to patrol on foot in all types of weather
  • Strong, professional written and verbal communication
    skills
  • Ability to make sound decisions, sometimes with limited information, in fluid situations
