Dean of Engineering


Job Description

College of Engineering
facilities feature advanced, interdisciplinary spaces designed for research and hands-on training, including specialized labs for robotics,
materials characterization, fluid mechanics, and structures. Key facilities include high-tech labs, and specialized centers for innovation,
research, and engineering.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage the day-to-day operations of College of Engineering (CoE) facilities,
    working within an established budget to ensure buildings are safe, secure, and fully functional.
  • Coordinate and authorize access for
    MU Operations staff, campus partners, contractors, faculty, and external service providers to support maintenance, custodial services,
    equipment servicing, facility repairs, and receiving activities, without direct supervisory authority.
  • Serve as College of
    Engineering Safety Coordinator; ensure compliance with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies, procedures, and regulatory
    requirements.
  • Maintain the College of Engineering vehicle fleet, capital asset inventory, space utilization records, and receiving
    documentation in accordance with university policies and procedures.
  • Supervise, train, and assign work to student employees,
    ensuring safe and effective work practices.
  • Manage multiple priorities and complete assignments independently in a fast-paced
    environment while meeting established deadlines.
  • Move, handle, and repair heavy equipment, materials, and furniture, including items
    exceeding 100 pounds.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of the College of Engineering’s goals and
    objectives.


Shift



Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.


Minimum
Qualifications

Associate’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of
experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.


Anticipated Hiring
Range


Salary Range: $18.87 – $24.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Grade: GGS-008
