Class Summary: This
position will provide targeted, proactive support for students in STEM course through individualized coaching, early alert interventions,
faculty collaboration, and progress tracking to improve retention, completion, and academic momentum.

Minimum Education/Training/Experience

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; prior
experience with career development, academic coaching, academic advising, or other roles/duties in support of student performance and
success.


Preferred Education/Training/Experience

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; 2
years of prior experience with career development, academic coaching, academic advising, or other roles/duties in support of student
performance and success.


Minimum Knowledge & Skills

Demonstrate ability to establish and maintain
productive working relationships with multiple constituencies across campus.
Knowledge of theories and best practices regarding the
academic development of students.
Prior experience in planning and implementation of complex projects.
Working knowledge of student
management systems, such as Colleague, Navigate, Zogotech, etc.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written.
Strong
planning, facilitation, and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently as well as to function effectively and collaboratively in
a team environment.
Possess strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
Proficient with computer applications;
a thorough understanding of Microsoft Office suite
Ability to prioritize work and perform multiple tasks.
Excellent interpersonal
skills, follow-through and persistence working with students, faculty and staff, administration, and the
community.

Job Duties

Provide
individualized and group academic coaching to help students strengthen study skills, time management, organization, and test preparation,
with a special focus on corequisite Math and STEM pathway students.


Monitor and track student progress, address Early
Alerts, and collaborate with faculty to provide timely interventions that promote persistence and success.

Assist in the
recruitment, training, and coordination of Supplemental Instruction Leaders (SILs), and support efforts to build a cohesive SI cohort that
fosters collaboration and academic excellence.
Collect, analyze, and report data on SI participation, student engagement, and retention
outcomes to inform continuous improvement.



Plan and facilitate STEM-focused engagement initiatives such as workshops,
guest speaker events, and study sessions that foster academic identity and community.

Maintain current knowledge of
academic support best practices, contribute to program evaluation and data reporting.


Assist in developing and
implementing recruitment campaigns for Nursing, Allied Health, and other disciplines with high demand tutoring needs.
Make appropriate
referrals to college offices and departments to ensure students receive comprehensive support.
Maintain strict confidentiality of all
student records and information in accordance with institutional and FERPA guidelines.

Provide tutor services for STEM
courses as needed.
