Key Responsibilities include:
  • 45% Care and management of facilities working closely with faculty, and
    management of farm crew, along with graduate and undergraduate students
    • Oversee day-to-day operations of HARF including
      supervising HARF staff.
    • Assisting PI’s in establishing new research plots and removing old plots including site
      preparation.
    • Assisting in harvesting, spraying and marketing of crops.
    • Oversee livestock operation and herd
      health.
    • Develop and lead necessary safety procedure training on equipment.
    • Develop working relationships with various
      internal and external parties as needed (e.g., during educational programs and field days).
    • Make recommendations for
      improvement/efficiency as necessary.

  • 30% Maintenance, repair and oversight of facility and equipment used at the
    research center
    • Responsible for operation of equipment needed for research as well as routine maintenance and repair of
      equipment and facilities at HARF.
    • Maintaining facilities including irrigation and fencing.
    • Maintain the Hickman
      House.

  • 15% Coordinate with Faculty and Staff at the Land of the Osage Research Farm
    (LORF)
    • Initiating research projects-including Agroforestry, Natural Resources and Livestock.
    • Assisting with
      Outreach events.
    • Overseeing basic maintenance of facilities including mowing, fencing and repair.

  • 5%
    Maintenance of records
    • Keep accurate and complete records and work with CM REEC Business Support staff.

  • 5% Other duties as assigned


Shift



7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday,
some evenings and weekends as needed.


Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination
of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is
necessary.

Anticipated Hiring
Range


The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $55,000 – $65,000 annually.

Salary is
determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s particular combination of education, skills, and
experience, as well as organizational requirements.
