BASIC PURPOSE

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



Food Recovery:

  • In collaboration with Operations and Events Manager, manage/rotate inventory for Food Recovery from class production and academic and non-credit programming that must be used. Determine plan of action for preparation and storage.
  • Prepare and pack food each week.
  • Assist student staff and volunteers during each Food Recovery preparation session to ensure production, and proper clean up and storage of food and equipment.
  • Track and log donated food.
  • Assist with food safety and sanitation training for student staff and volunteers.


Small production/event/s (Events will be identified in advance of the start of the semester to account for time needed and planning and will focus on production.)


  • Assist with planning and preparation with designated catering requests and events

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS


Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required
  • Current Serv Safe Manager Certification is required.
  • Applicants must have a comprehensive understanding of working in a kitchen, mise en place, and execution.
