Job Description Summary

The University of South Alabama’s Environmental Services department is seeking to hire two Environmental Services Aide I’s. Interested candidates should apply to be considered.

Essential Functions

• Performs routine manual housekeeping and custodial duties.
• Maintains tile, terrazzo floors and carpet to include mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming floors
• Cleans offices and classrooms including furniture and chalk boards.
• Uses step ladders to replace light bulbs and clean as necessary.
• Cleans light fixtures, windows, and glass dividers.
• Replenishes chalk and empties all trash receptacles.
• Scrubs restroom areas, commodes, urinals and lavatories.
• Applies deodorizers and germicides in proper areas.
• Refills soap dispensers, towel and toilet tissue holders.
• Polishes mirrors and plumbing fixtures and cleans light covers as needed.
• Regular and prompt attendance.
• Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required.
• Related duties as required.
