Program Aide Access and Transition (Pool)


This particular job posting is a “Pool” position. There may or may not be available openings at this time however, when an opening does occur, the hiring manager will draw from the pool of applicants we have on file on an as needed basis. General Statement of Duties:


Provides supervision, guidance, support and enrichment programming to program participants.

Responsibilities:


  • Assist in providing supervision to program participants during specified program time.
  • Assist in mentoring and supporting students in benefitting to the fullest from their program experience.
  • Lead student through activities and/or meals.
  • Assist in developing and/or facilitating appropriate curricular and co-curricular activities.
  • Provide versatile support to students that is sensitive to socio-economic, cultural and age variances.
  • Assist students with projects as needed.
  • Assist in chaperoning student outings and/or field work.
  • Communicate student needs and concerns to Director, Coordinator, and/ or instructor as appropriate.
  • Maintain required grant documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned by Director, Coordinator, or Instructor

Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Enrollment in an AA/AS/BS/BA program
  • Minimum of one year work experience with low income, disadvantaged and/or minority youth (changed from two years)
  • Desire to help disadvantaged youth to succeed (Sensitivity and maturity level to successfully work with youth).

Desired Qualifications:


  • Two years work experience with low income, disadvantaged and/or minority youth
  • Ability to interact with diverse constituencies including other program personnel, partner organization personnel, parent/guardians and participants.


Additional Information:
Salary: $15.00 – $16.75 per hour

Hours per Week: Varies, not to exceed 18 hours per week.
Number of Weeks: Varies with position
