Job Description:


Position Purpose

Facilities Management is an

The Water Treatment Technician performs tests and maintains proper chemical
level and heating systems, steam generators and AC water towers.

Job Qualifications and Competencies


  • High School
    diploma/GED
  • Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator’s license is required.
  • Providence Boiler Operator’s
    License for the City of Providence.
  • Must maintain required licenses as a condition of employment.
  • Two years’
    experience in chemical water treatment and actual boiler operation.
  • Some academic background in chemistry or training in the
    practical application of chemicals preferred.
  • A thorough knowledge of closed heating systems, steam generator stations, and
    A/C water towers
  • Background in mechanical injection systems
  • Must be able to follow standard procedures, read
    and understand blueprints.
