Job Description:


SUMMARY

Responsible for assisting the College’s Food Pantry with the necessary services to ensure a positive experience. Provides direct liaison and coordination support for the campus Food Pantry.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


  • Provides direct liaison and coordination support of the campus Food Pantry by completing client intake, preparing formal and informal reports, unloading and preparing food delivery and working closely with student-clients
  • Serves as a liaison between the College and external partners such as the Greater Cleveland Food Bank to meet common objectives
  • Facilitates effective communication and collaboration within the College amongst faculty, staff, administration, and students
  • Coordinates an effective and efficient data management process that guides strategic direction, decision-making, and resource development for the College
  • Performs other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING


  • Associate’s Degree
    • Significant related experience may substitute for education

  • Minimum of two years of relevant work experience and demonstrated success in a community educational environment or closely related experience
  • Demonstrated successful experience in design process, program and system improvement assessment, and evaluation
  • Demonstrated experience assisting with planning, preparing, forecasting, maintaining, and monitoring a business area’s budget
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in a role requiring dynamic and abstract problem solving methods in adaptive situations

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES

  • Possess excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Demonstrated intermediate Banner System skills (or equivalent program)
  • Intermediate-level proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Possess personal communication and relationship building skills, including listening, oral and written communications; and ability to gather and share ideas among diverse groups
  • Possess working knowledge of continuous quality improvement concepts, practices and procedures with the ability to use in varied situations as it pertains to the departmental focus
  • Possess excellent planning, organizing and problem solving skills
  • Possess the ability to work independently or at remote sites without direct supervision
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and changing work environment requiring flexibility, teamwork and results orientation

  • The work is performed in a normal, professional office environment;
  • The work area is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated;
  • Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the duties of the job and will perform repetitive motions with hands/fingers using a computer mouse and keyboard to type. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending. The work does require the employee to lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Work may also require walking and standing in conjunction with travel to and attendance at meetings and conferences away from the worksite


Special Note: This is a Part-Time Non-Bargaining Unit Position, Grade 07, with a Minimum Hiring Rate of: $18.00/ hour.


If hired, you must reside in the state of Ohio and be within commuting distance of this work location/campus to respond to onsite work demands upon the employment start date and throughout the duration of your employment with the College, as outlined in 3354:1-40-01.1 Recruitment and Selection Procedure.
