What You’ll Do


The role is responsible for optimizing the
utilization of technology application features to meet University College’s and learners’ needs by supporting the design, redesign,
implementation, and streamlining of the school’s website, application, admissions, enrollment, marketing, and reporting technologies, as
well as the ongoing analysis, enhancement, and maintenance of those technologies, systems, and data. The role interprets complex business
processes, translating those needs into technical and functional requirements documentation, configuring necessary changes, and contributing
to quality assurance and training initiatives. This role understands and documents systems that support University College application,
admissions, enrollment, marketing, and reporting operations and workflows, as well as current and proposed system connections and
dependencies, and serves as a primary point of contact and collaboration with Tufts Technology Services (TTS). It regularly meets with
University College business partners to gather requirements for both large and complex projects and narrowly scoped day-to-day work. From
project inception to implementation, support, and maintenance, this role ensures that the potential of technical solutions is maximized in
support of University College’s needs. On an ongoing basis, the role analyzes business process requirements from a variety of stakeholders
within the school, responds to and resolves complex end-user needs/issues, leads support and training activities, analyzes processes and
approaches to define/refine business processes, and supports reporting needs. The role gathers cross-functional groups, including
representation from the registrar’s office, financial aid, enrollment, admissions, and other functions to capture requirements, document,
and recommend process and technology improvements that enable optimal efficiency and technical automation as appropriate. This role
translates admissions, recruitment, marketing, and student services processes and requirements into effective system configurations,
ensuring the system(s) meet school-specific business needs while aligning with institutional standards.

  • Serves as a liaison between
    stakeholders and users, and between University College and university offices, building strong relationships and becoming a trusted partner
    and subject matter expert related to technology needs. Manages projects for a variety of project scopes and types.
  • Works closely
    with TTS to develop and maintain Slate, Modern Campus Extended Education, HubSpot, and other system capabilities and interoperability. This
    includes systems testing, data configuration, troubleshooting, and quality control audits.
  • Works with TTS to monitor, identify, and
    diagnose existing and possible issues with integrations between various systems and implements processes to prevent and mitigate
    them.
  • Documents and understands business needs and develops corresponding technology requirements. Identifies gaps in business
    processes, highlighting items for further analysis, and elicits requirements for new functionality.
  • Provides documentation and
    training on all new programs and modifications. Improves existing documentation.
  • Collaborates with the University College leadership
    team, TTS, and other Tufts offices to prioritize technological needs and improvements.
  • Negotiates priorities and long-term plans
    with stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Researches and develops new technology capabilities and recommends ideas for
    implementation.
  • Ensures overall quality control and data integrity. Develops and monitors data integrity standards for data within
    systems and for integrations between systems. Runs audits to ensure data accuracy and integrity of integrations.
  • Oversees record
    management, query and reporting functions, workflow development, communications oversight, school-based training, and overall system
    instance needs.
  • Develops data visualizations using Tableau and other tools as needed.
  • Alongside TTS, assists University
    College leadership team in building a strategic technical roadmap that will ensure their short and long-term goals are met and
    supported.
  • Collaborates with offices across the university to create and refine queries and reports for student and financial data
    requests and special projects, especially on recruitment, admissions, and other student data.

Basic Requirements:
Knowledge and experience typically acquired by:

  • Bachelor’s
    Degree
  • 3 or more years of Slate experience
  • Experience with Modern Campus Extended Education, and HubSpot, or the ability and
    commitment to learn these systems and their interactions
  • Familiarity with Configurable Joins query tools at an intermediate
    level
  • Proven experience and demonstrated success in the management of higher education admissions and student records systems and
    student data, including security and integrity
  • Working knowledge of higher education enrollment management, admissions, or
    institutional research roles
  • Relevant business work experience with in-depth knowledge of business operations and systems
    requirement processes.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated
    skills in prioritizing assignments to complete work in a timely fashion and the ability to anticipate and plan for cyclical
    activities
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability and mindset to collaborate and build
    strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred
Qualifications:


  • Master’s Degree 7-10 years of experience in higher education enrollment management, admissions, or
    institutional research roles
  • Expert knowledge of higher education enrollment management systems and integrations across various
    platforms and channels
  • Intermediate knowledge of Slate and PeopleSoft student systems
  • Experience with technical languages
    such as SQL


Pay Range



Minimum $87,400.00, Midpoint $109,300.00, Maximum $131,200.00



Salary is based
on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
