Indiana University Human Resources (IUHR) supports the broader Indiana University (IU) academic and research mission,

IU Human Resources (HR) provides university-wide services with the explicit recognition of the following customers:

Job Summary


Department-Specific Responsibilities


  • Manages I-9 and E-Verify processes for the university.
  • Serves as an IUHR
    representative for HR policy changes for the Policy Executive Committee (PEC).
  • Serves as a point of contact and back-up super
    user for the HireRight/Gryphon HR systems.
  • Monitors changes in out-of-state employment and labor laws in collaboration with
    general counsel’s office to ensure that current information is provided to HR Business Partners when employing out-of-state.

General Responsibilities

  • Reviews, maintains, and updates human resources policies and procedures ensuring they are
    current, compliant, accurate, and effective.
  • Provides guidance to HR Business Partners, other Centers of Excellence (COE),
    enterprise system users, and the HR Operations teams on HR policies and compliance issues.
  • Collaborates with departments on
    compliance issues that require action and follows up to ensure concerns are resolved.
  • Develops and manages data for reporting and
    analysis to include various (I-9, Programs Involving Children (PIC)) compliance audits.
  • Communicates policy and compliance
    programs, processes, and changes in a timely manner across university platforms.
  • Develops and presents various training classes
    focused on HR compliance.
  • Stays up-to-date on the external compliance landscape to identify, recommend, and implement changes.

EDUCATION


Required

  • Bachelor’s degree preferable in human resources or a
    related field or area.


WORK EXPERIENCE


Required

  • 3 years of human resources or
    related experience that includes a solid background in employment laws and other government compliance regulations.

Working
Conditions / Demands


This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard
office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the
campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

Location

Bloomington, Indiana

This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule (mix between remote and in-person work),
subject to change in the future based on university policy and business needs.


Advertised Salary


$62,500 – $67,469.16
annually
