The Mechanical Systems Technology for Transportation
Program Coordinator supports the Division Program Manager within the Technical and Professional Studies Division by providing instructional
and operational program support. Key responsibilities include purchasing, tools and supplies inventory management, automation inventory
system manager, classroom and faculty support, and supervision of work-study students. This role also contributes to departmental
organization, technology support, and semester preparation. Additionally, the position assists division leadership in managing facilities
and equipment to maintain an effective learning environment. The college offers the possibility of alternative work arrangements such as
flexplace, remote work, or flextime scheduling upon completion of training and department needs.

Minimum Qualifications


  • Completed Bachelor’s degree OR completed Associate’s degree from an
    accredited institution with two years of professional-level experience performing similar duties to those described for this position OR
    four years of professional-level experience performing similar duties to those described for this position.
  • Experience in
    education
  • Experience teaching or professional presentations to diverse audiences.


Professional level experience is
defined by the Colorado Division of Human Resources: A position that involves the exercise of discretion, analytical skill, judgment,
personal accountability, and responsibility for creating, developing, integrating, applying, or sharing an organized body of knowledge.
Colorado revised statute (C.R.S. 24-50-135(1) allows colleges to exempt positions from the State Personnel Classified System that are
determined to be professional level work.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Completed Master’s degree from an
    accredited institution.
  • Experience with project management and purchasing.
  • Commitment to diversity in education.
  • Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail and time management.

Essential Functions


  • Serve as college and program advocate in the community to facilitate the development of partnerships and support student
    success.
  • Serve as the department’s purchasing support liaison and inventory manager.
  • Coordinate employer engagement and
    work-based learning activities.
  • Support for the department’s automated tool system.
  • Support faculty with instructional
    support.
  • Assist with the coordination of course scheduling, lesson planning, and budgeting.
  • Supervise lab assistants.
  • Coordinate industry partnerships, internships, and assist with advisory boards.

General Duties, Skills, Knowledge,
and Abilities

  • Ability to navigate differences effectively and respectfully in the workplace.
  • Collaborate with
    division leadership, faculty, and instructors to develop, deliver, and assess programming needs.
  • Assist Division Program Manager
    with the coordination of program accreditation processes.
  • Coordinate program participation in student clubs, community camps, and
    events.
  • Actively participate in department and advisory board committees.
  • Assist division support specialists with
    purchasing
    requests and Perkins.
  • Assist with marketing and promotion of departmental pathways and certificates.
  • Ability to
    develop,
    train, and manage a team of student work-studies.
  • Ability to concurrently manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to
    manage
    professional relationships with students, staff, faculty, and industry partners.
  • Support equitable educational access, and
    student
    success, with a focus on underrepresented students, out-of-work individuals, English language learners, or justice-involved
    individuals.
