Basic Responsibilities:
A. Work as directed by the director of Operations MEP
B. Maintenance and
repairs to the kitchen equipment, walk in coolers, appliances, and ice machines.
C. Perform PM’s of equipment to prevent
failures.
D. Assist other trades in the Facilities and Campus Management Department as needed in the spirit of cooperation and
teamwork.
E. Continue to develop skills and cross train in a manner that will keep personnel up to date and safe.
F.
Continually seek ways to improve system efficiencies to cut down on costly repairs.
Essential duties include the following:

a. Be responsible for the maintenance and repairs of all kitchen equipment, walk in coolers, and ice machines
across campus, appliances, including refrigeration.
b. Order materials and supplies as needed for the completion of work
assigned.
C. Have the computer and IPAD skills required to fill out work orders, time sheets, and written reports daily.
d.
Put together estimates large repairs and installations.
e. Display necessary initiative to work alone or in groups.
f. Work
with and supervise student workers assigned to you.
g. Be available after hours for emergency call outs.
h. Focus on continual
improvement to equipment and systems that will result in improved efficiencies and neat, clean, safe, work areas.
i. Follow the
established rules, policies, and procedures of the Facilities Management Department and Abilene Christian University.
Professional
Development Requirements:
These are the minimal skills needed to succeed at this job.
A. Skills Required
1. Knowledge of basic hand and power tools.
2. Skilled in commercial kitchen equipment,
refrigeration, and electrical.
3. Operate a reclaimer and carry appropriate license to purchase and install refrigerant.
B.
Training Modules
1. Written and verbal communication skills.
2. Must have basic safety training.
3. Emphasize
excellent customer relations and service.
4. Must be able to read and trouble shoot equipment failures and systems.

Professional
1. High school diploma or GED
2. Minimum of
five (5) years experience within the refrigeration and kitchen equipment repair trade.

responsible.

3. Trustworthy, dependable, and punctual.
4. Self starter who likes to
work.
5. Must be neat and clean in appearance at all times.
6. Maintain a positive attitude and focus on customer
satisfaction.
Physical Demands:
A. Good health and stamina, able to lift, carry, and pull loads in excess of one
hundred (100) pounds.
B. Must be able to climb ladders, and work in varying climate conditions.
