Job Summary
District-wide
coordination and production of class schedules for credit, non-credit, and/or continuing
education courses. Provide leadership on key
departmental functions which may include development of the college catalog, final review and
publication of approved curriculum changes,
creation of the student handbook, review and approval of internal event requests, and management
and maintenance of departmental technology
and applications.
Essential Functions
Develop the credit, non-credit,
and/or continuing education class schedules in
Banner. Collaborate with stakeholders to accurately schedule classes, establish courses, make
scheduling changes, and assign rooms for
classes. Update class meeting times, dates, locations, and assign instructors.
Lead and
provide oversight of core departmental
operations, which may include:
- Compilation of the college catalog, program information
briefs, and other college course
publication information. - Review of proposed curriculum changes for inclusion in the college
catalog and Banner. - Development of the student handbook.
- Review and approve internal campus event requests (excludes
rentals). - Maintenance
and upkeep of department technology, which may include (but is not limited to) scheduling, curriculum,
and/or catalog software. - Work with IT to troubleshoot issues.
Provide work direction in the day-to-day duties of the
scheduling assistant and/or
temporary staff.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree and three
years experience in an educational institution OR Associate’s degree and six years of experience in and
educational institution. - Experience working with college curriculum, class schedules or registration.
- Strong
communication skills. - Ability to
plan, organize and manage time. - Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a
professional working relationship with a wide
variety of individuals coming from varied backgrounds. - Knowledge of current software
applications.
Desired
Qualifications
- Experience in a community college.
- Experience working with
Banner software. - Experience
working with Ad Astra software.
