The Division for Advancing Education Policy, Practice and Leadership in the Mary Lou Fulton College for Teaching and Learning Innovation
invites applications for a Clinical Assistant Professor in Applied Behavior Analysis for the 2026-2027 academic year (August 16, 2026 – May
15, 2027). The successful candidate will teach online courses and supervise students in a rigorous Master of Arts program in Special
Education with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis and Bachelor of Science Behavior Analysis programs. This fully online program
pairs research and applied experience to prepare professionals to apply behavior-analytic principles across diverse populations and service
settings. The program curriculum meets the behavior-analytic coursework requirements for students interested in sitting for the
Board-Certified Behavior Analyst® BCBA® / Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst® BCaBA® exam via pathway 2 eligibility.
The
candidate will have opportunities to collaborate with nationally recognized faculty in research and educational leaders in innovation and
program development. Responsibilities include the following: (1) teaching courses in the MA program in Special Education with a
concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis and the BS program in Behavior Analysis, (2)implementing practicum experiences; (3) leading the
training and development of part-time co-instructors; (4) collaborating on the assessment of program effectiveness, continuous improvement
of the program, and accreditation approval and maintenance processes; and (5) providing service to the institution, profession, and
community.
This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, non-tenure-eligible Clinical Assistant Professor position on a renewable,
academic-year (9-month) appointment, contingent upon satisfactory performance, availability of resources, and the needs of the university.
The salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. The full-time teaching load consists of four (4) courses per semester, which may
include a combination of courses delivered in either in-person or online formats. Candidate must reside in Arizona or be willing to
relocate. The position is 80% teaching and 20% service, with an expected start date of August 2026.

The Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs are housed within the Division for Advancing Education Policy, Practice, and Leadership
in the Mary Lou Fulton College for Teaching and Learning Innovation at Arizona State University. The ABA programs represent a global model
for accessible, high-quality professional preparation, serving a diverse student population across the United States and around the world
through fully online delivery. Over the past 14 years, the programs have prepared more than 11,000 graduates and consistently contribute the
largest number of Board-Certified Behavior Analysts to the workforce annually. Designed at scale, the programs emphasize innovation in
online pedagogy, technology-enabled instruction, ethical and evidence-based practice, and inclusive excellence. Faculty in the division
collaborate with nationally recognized colleagues on program innovation, applied research, accreditation initiatives, and partnerships with

Essential Functions
- Teach undergraduate and
graduate courses in Applied Behavior Analysis in a fully online environment, including course preparation, content delivery, assessment of
student performance, grading, and timely, substantive feedback. - Supervise and support students in applied learning experiences,
including practicum or field-based components, consistent with program requirements and professional standards in behavior analysis. - Serve as lead course instructor for assigned courses, including coordination with and instructional oversight of part-time Faculty
Associates and co-instructors. - Train, mentor, and support part-time co-instructors in course implementation, instructional
expectations, assessment practices, and student support procedures. - Contribute to the ongoing development, evaluation, and
refinement of curriculum and instructional materials for the MA in Special Education with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis and
the BS in Behavior Analysis. - Collaborate with program faculty and leadership on assessment of program effectiveness, continuous
improvement initiatives, and accreditation approval and maintenance activities. - Provide academic mentoring and advising to
students
in a large-scale, online program serving a geographically distributed student population. - Participate in program,
division,
college, and university service activities, including meetings and committees. - Use learning management systems (e.g.,
Canvas,
Slack) and related instructional technologies to support effective online teaching, communication, and course administration. - Maintain alignment of instructional and supervisory activities with requirements of the Behavior Analyst Certification Board® and
standards relevant to applied behavior analysis education.
Required Qualifications
- Doctoral degree
from an
accredited university in Special Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, or a closely related field must be completed by the time of
appointment. - Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA or BCBA-D) credential in good standing
- Five or more years of
professional experience working with individuals using the principles of applied behavior analysis

Qualifications
- Experience supervising the applied experience of those pursuing BACB certification
- Two or more
years’ successful
experience as an instructor of record for courses in a university-based online ABA program - Experience designing
instruction for
fully online, asynchronous instruction, including the use of an LMS (e.g., Canvas) and evidence-based online pedagogy - Prior
education, training, or professional development in Organizational Behavior Management - Demonstrated commitment to
