Minimum Requirements

Education: Matric certificate (Grade 12) – essential
3 Years experience as a Wheel Alignment Technician / Fitter (automotive workshop experience essential).
Wheel alignment certification or accredited skills training – (advantageous).
Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair principles.
Ability to interpret technical data and follow manufacturer specifications.
Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
Customer-Centric Approach: A customer-first mindset with a focus on providing outstanding service.
Driven and Goal-Oriented: Self-motivated, ambitious, and eager to achieve sales targets.

Duties and Responsibilities



Vehicle Inspection Conduct thorough visual inspections and/or on-board diagnostics during the pre-diagnosis phase to identify issues accurately.
Work Preparation Receive and review workshop orders to ensure full understanding and accuracy. Locate the customer’s vehicle, move it safely to the relevant bay, and prepare the workspace (including fitting fender covers). Use standard checklists during pre-diagnosis to ensure each step is correctly completed and documented.
Vehicle Repair & Maintenance Research and reference workshop information systems to ensure up-to-date technical data. Prepare tools, equipment, and required parts for all maintenance and repair jobs. Perform maintenance services according to manufacturer specifications and schedules. Conduct visual inspections, calibrations, adjustments, fluid top-ups, and replace worn components (e.g., brake pads). Identify faults, irregularities, or abnormal wear and communicate any additional required work. Reset maintenance systems as per internal procedures. Reinstall dismantled parts and prepare returnable components for reconditioning. Carry out defined repairs, such as replacement of major components or suspension-related work. Accurately document all work performed, including hours worked, and return job cards to the Team Leader/Controller.
Additional Workshop Tasks Install and commission accessories and mounted parts such as roof racks, pre-wired radios, and other fitments as required.
Parts & Process Support Request parts in line with internal processes and maintain strong coordination with the parts department.
