The
opportunity
Southern New Hampshire University is looking for a dynamic Salesforce Engineer to help with the design and
optimization of Salesforce-based solutions. You will help build complex Salesforce applications alongside a team of engineers,
administrators, and systems analysts, ensuring that best practices in development and integration are followed. As a Salesforce Engineer,
you will build your technical expertise to develop innovative solutions, scale our Salesforce ecosystem, and ensure seamless integrations
with other enterprise systems.
You will work 100% remotely from any of our approved states. #LI-Remote
What You’ll
Do:
- Help develop Salesforce solutions under guidance from senior engineers.
- Help build scalable and reliable
components using Salesforce technologies such as Lightning Web Components (LWC), Apex classes, and Visualforce pages. Follow established
standards set by the Architecture and Engineering teams. - Maintain clean, efficient code for Salesforce customizations and
configurations. Participate in code reviews to learn best practices and improve technical skills. Collaborate with team members to ensure
quality and consistency in deliverables. - Help implement integrations between Salesforce and third-party applications using tools
like REST APIs and middleware solutions. Learn and apply security protocols and integration best practices under the supervision of
experienced professionals. - Configure Salesforce features using declarative tools such as Flows, Process Builder, and Validation
Rules. Configuration first mentality. - Help develop custom components and functionality using Apex and Lightning Web
Components. - Work with business analysts, product owners, and other team members to understand requirements and help provide
solutions that meet our needs. Communicate progress and challenges. - Write unit tests for developed functionality and help maintain
code quality best practices through peer review of solutions. Participate in system audits and help identify areas for improvement related
to performance, security, and maintainability. - Stay informed about new Salesforce features and tools.
- Seek opportunities to
learn and improve technical skills through training, documentation, and collaboration with senior engineers. - Maintain clear
documentation for configurations and customizations. Participate in Documentation Reviews and Audits. Share insights with peers to support
team growth and knowledge exchange. - Use SNHU approved generative AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Tableau AI) to support
requirements gathering, documentation creation, prototype development, and code generation with oversight. - Collaborate with senior
engineers to integrate AI-driven recommendations into Salesforce Flows, Lightning components, and process automation. Support governance
efforts by helping implement responsible AI use practices, including prompt design standards, data privacy considerations, and model
evaluation. - Other responsibilities as assigned
What We’re Looking For:
- 3+ years of relevant
experience within Salesforce through Trailhead, certifications, or entry-level engineering roles is beneficial. - Salesforce
certifications (e.g., Salesforce App Builder, Salesforce Administrator or equivalent) - Experience with Agile Frameworks
(Scrum/Safe). - Experience with software architecture principles, assigned applications, integration software, and operating
environments. - Experience with Salesforce declarative tools (e.g., Process Builder, Flows, Validation Rules).
- Experience with
Configuration vs. Code best practices and applying the platform out of the box - Experience with Salesforce Security model, data
modeling, and Salesforce governor limits. - Experience with AI models and tools such as Microsoft CoPilot, Agentforce, and other
Enterprise AI tools.

Compensation
The annual pay range for this position is $70,729.00 – $113,188.00. Actual offer will be based on
skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations. We expect this position to be hired
in the following target hiring range $78,155.00 – $105,739.00.
