Job Description Summary

The University of South Alabama’s department of Environmental Services is seeking to hire an Environmental Services Aide I. Interested candidates should apply to be considered.

Essential Functions

• Performs routine housekeeping and custodial functions.
• Maintains tile and terrazzo floors and carpeted areas by scheduled vacuuming with appropriate equipment.
• Cleans offices and classrooms including furniture, light fixtures, and chalk and dry erase boards.
• Replenishes chalk and empties all trash receptacles.
• Scrubs restroom areas, commodes, urinals and lavatories.
• Applies deodorizers and germicides in proper areas.
• Refills soap dispensers and towel and tissue paper holders.
• Polishes mirrors and plumbing fixtures and cleans light covers as needed.
• Cleans all glass that can be reached by step ladder.
• Regular and prompt attendance.
• Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required.
• Related duties as required.
