The University of South Carolina Beaufort (USCB) invites applications for a student-centered Instructor of Hospitality, Retail and Sports Management to join out growing Department of Business Administration, Hospitality Management and Communication Studies.

Located in the heart of the South Carolina Lowcountry, home to thriving tourism, hospitality and retail, USCB provides an ideal environment for experiential learning and industry engagement. We are skiing an innovative educator who is excited to connect classroom learning with real-world practice while mentoring students toward successful and meaningful careers.

Primary Responsibilities:
Teaching (Core Focus)
Teach a 5/5 undergraduate course load on the Bluffton and Hilton Head campus in areas such as:

• Hospitality Management
• Retail Management
• Sports Management
• Tourism and Event Management
• Customer Experience and Service Leadership

Deliver primarily face-to-face instruction, with the opportunity to incorporate hybrid and online modalities.

Engage students through experiential learning, industry partnerships, applied projects and contemporary business practices relevant to hospitality, retail and sports industries.

Service
Participate in shared governance, supporting program and institutional goals.

Contribute through:

• Student advising and mentoring
• Departmental and university committee service
• Professional development and community engagement
• Building partnerships with local and regional industry organizations

Required Education and Experience

Master’s degree in Hospitality Management, Sports Management, Business or a closely related field from an accredited institution is required.

Preferred Qualifications

College level teaching experience is preferred with evidence of high-quality teaching and learning practices across instructional modalities.
Professional experience in one or more of the following areas is especially welcome:
Hospitality and Tourism
Retail Management
Sports Management
Event Planning and Operations
Customer Experience and Service Industries
