The
School of Nursing is seeking to hire an Administrative Specialist (Temp).

KEY DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serves as the primary point of contact for meeting requests and oversight of calendars for the Associate
Dean and department chairs. - Creates meeting agendas, keeps attendance records, and records minutes.
- Transcribes and prepares
accurate minutes for meetings, ensuring timely distribution and proper documentation. - Plans, monitors, and generates special
reports, which may involve research and data collection based on specific project requirements. - Support grant and report preparation
through research, information gathering, and presentation development. - Coordinates events for Unit Heads, including Directors
Meeting, Advisory Board Meeting, Faculty Meeting, End-of-Year Faculty and Staff Meeting, Clinical Partnership Meetings. - Provides
administrative support for the Pinning Ceremony, Honors Day, faculty retreats, academic symposiums, and strategic planning
sessions. - Assists with travel coordination including travel authorizations and submitting expense reports.
- Coordinates room
reservations. - Organizes catering for meetings and events.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Minimum
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and two years of related experience; or a high school or GED and six years of related
experience; or a combination of education and experience.
Preferred Hiring
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with GSU policies and procedures.
- A self-starter able to work
independently. - Radiates a positive attitude and is willing to be a team player.
- Detail oriented and follows instructions
carefully. - Effective organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work with and collaborate with
diverse groups (internal/external). - Ability to multi-task, adapt to changing demands, and work well under
pressure. - Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
