Shift

Primarily Monday through Friday, some weekends and evening activities may be required as needed.


Job Summary

The Extension Specialist for Organizational Development and Training provides leadership and coordination for statewide professional development, educational programming, and organizational support initiatives within Kentucky Cooperative Extension. This position works collaboratively with Extension faculty, staff, specialists, and administrative leadership to develop and deliver training programs, educational resources, and professional development opportunities that strengthen organizational effectiveness and support high-quality program delivery across the Extension system. Responsibilities include coordinating statewide and regional trainings, developing instructional materials and support resources, assessing organizational and professional development needs, and supporting communication and collaboration across county and campus stakeholders. The position advances the mission of the Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment and Kentucky Cooperative Extension through educational leadership, workforce development, and organizational engagement.

State law requires a national and state criminal background check and a letter from the Cabinet for Health and Family Services stating the employee is clear to hire based on no findings of substantiated child abuse or neglect found through a background check of child abuse and neglect records as a condition of employment or involvement in this program.
