Position
Description

Performs support and coordinative work in direct support of an administrative team of a specific administrative office or
department. Coordinates and assists with functions such as planning, researching, budgeting and program implementation and evaluation.
Performs responsible and complex office support duties, thus relieving the administrator of these duties. Work is performed under
administrative supervision.

About the Department and/or College
The Department of Environmental Health & Safety seeks to provide a safe and
healthy place of employment and learning and to cultivate positive attitudes towards safety, security and preparedness through the
establishment and implementation of occupational and environmental protection programs for the University.

Major/Essential
Functions


  • Processing protocols for the Institutional Biosafety Committee, Institutional Laboratory Safety Committee, and the
    Radiation Laser Safety Committee.
  • Prepares and distributes meeting agendas, meeting minutes, approval letters, and other supporting
    documentation.
  • Collaborates with the Biological Safety Officer, Radiation Safety Officer, and Chemical Hygiene Officer to coordinate
    risk assessments, consultations, and trainings.
  • Provides customer support for protocol submissions, including the Cayuse online
    submission system.
  • Process enrollments for the Occupational Health Program and work with the provider to complete the health
    evaluation for enrollees.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in job
related field plus one year responsible experience. Additional specific job related experience may substitute for required education on a
year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in a life science-related field.



Pay
Range

$19.47 – $25.29 – $31.15
