About This Role


Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) working at Lafene Health Center provide nursing care to students within scope of practice as
described by the Kansas State Board of Nursing including tasks and responsibilities under the direction of a registered professional nurse
or a person licensed to practice medicine.

Worksite Description



This position is On-site.

All employees must reside
in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law.
What You’ll Need to Succeed



Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires six months of relevant experience. Must be licensed to practice as a
    Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Kansas.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Possess the cognitive
    ability to consistently and dependably engage in critical thinking. This includes (but is not limited to) the ability to:
  • Exercise
    sound clinical judgment in a timely manner.
  • Safely prioritize actions based on patient needs.
  • Accurately perform required
    calculations.
  • Accurately interpret data to determine necessary action.
    In addition, the nurse must possess the ability to
    establish professional relationships and maintain professional accountability in the legal and ethical realm. This includes (but is not
    limited to) the ability to:
  • Act ethically and responsibly.
  • Demonstrate compassion in patient care.
  • Demonstrate
    mature and therapeutic relationships with patients and staff.
  • Assume accountability for all actions.
  • Demonstrates
    professional and appropriate verbal and nonverbal behavior in all settings.

    The LPN must possess good communication skills (oral,
    written, and electronic [including EMR]) and be able to collaborate with all departments in a healthcare setting with clients of various
    cultural backgrounds.


Sponsorship eligibility:



Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.
