PT Program Advisor

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:


Essential Job
Functions

  • Provide advising, registration assistance, and assistance in accessing and navigating institutional
    requirements to current students.
  • Provides career advising to assist students in choosing a career pathway.
  • Plan and
    implement retention and completion activities.
  • Update transfer plans for transfer universities.
  • Work with the Program
    Advisor Coordinator to plan, implement and evaluate the programs and services provided by Advising, Career & Transfer department.

Additional Job Functions:


  • Assist with graduation application process and commencement
    activities.
  • Serve as a liaison and foster intentional relationships with other advisors, offices, and departments.

REQUIRED/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Maintain
    processes and systems that improve the quality of customer support services.
  • Demonstrate working functional knowledge and use of
    Banner and Microsoft Office.
  • Must possess outstanding communication, critical thinking, customer service, and organizational
    skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented.
  • Demonstrate the desire to learn new software requirements to support office functions &
    efficiency.
  • Adapt to learning new tasks & skills.

Education and Experience:

Required Education:


  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited
    college/university required.

Required Experience:

  • Possess
    personal computer literacy and good organizational skills.

Preferred Experience:


  • Experience / training in one or more of the following areas: education, teaching, academic advising, recruiting, sales, customer
    service, marketing, or public relations – preferably at Community College level.
  • Banner experience preferred. Bilingual candidates
    are encouraged to apply.


Remote Work

This role is primarily in-person, with limited to no remote work
options available. All selected candidates will participate in a mandatory 4-6 in-person training period at North Campus location.



Work Hours:

Hours will be 2pm-6pm, Monday-Friday


Physical Activity:


Ex. Lifting up to 50 pounds of force



Salary Grade: 26.00

Salary is based on the Board-approved salary schedule
for the current fiscal year. See Salary
