Job Summary
Position Purpose
To establish,
implement, and continuously improve a comprehensive safety and risk management system across all university campuses, ensuring full
compliance with regulatory requirements, enhancing emergency preparedness, and supporting institutional safety culture in alignment with the
Support Services Center strategic framework
Candidate Profile
Responsibilities
1. Safety Governance & Compliance
- Develop and implement a unified safety management
system across all facilities. - Ensure compliance with local regulations, accreditation standards, and university policies.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits across all campuses.
2. Risk
Management
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive risk register.
- Identify, assess, and
monitor operational, safety, and compliance risks. - Implement risk mitigation and control measures.
3. Emergency Preparedness & Response
- Develop and implement Emergency Codes
system (Code Red, Blue, etc.) - Plan and conduct emergency drills and evacuation exercises.
- Evaluate
response performance and provide improvement reports.
4. Incident Management
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Maintain incident reporting and tracking system.
5. Training & Awareness
- Deliver safety training programs for staff and stakeholders.
- Promote safety awareness and culture
across the university. - Ensure staff readiness for emergency situations.
6.
Digital Systems & Reporting
- Utilize CAFM/CMMS and safety management systems to track:
- Incidents
- Audits
- Risk status
- Integrate safety performance into the Balanced Scorecard KPI
framework. - Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual safety reports.
7.
Cross-Department Coordination
- Coordinate with:
- Engineering
Services (systems safety, maintenance) - General Services (evacuation, logistics, service operations)
- Quality & Hospital teams (compliance & accreditation)
- Ensure integrated safety implementation
across all facilities.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in safety, Engineering, or
related field - Professional certification (preferred):
- NEBOSH
- IOSH
- OSHA
- Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in safety management
- Experience in healthcare or
multi-campus environment is an advantage.
