Job Summary


ROLE SUMMARY:

The
post holder will be responsible for the administration, optimization, and security of the organization’s IT infrastructure across on-premise
data centers and hybrid cloud environments.


The role includes hands-on management of virtualization platforms, backup and recovery
systems, Microsoft enterprise technologies, and security solutions, ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance with best
practices.

The candidate is expected to actively contribute to data center operations, disaster recovery readiness, cybersecurity
posture, and infrastructure modernization initiatives aligned with the organization’s digital transformation strategy.


Candidate Profile

Responsibilities


1 Main Responsibilities:


1.1 Administer,
configure, and troubleshoot enterprise virtualization platforms like VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, and Nutanix AHV, ensuring high
availability, performance tuning, and optimal resource utilization.



1.2 Perform hands-on deployment, configuration, and maintenance
of virtual machines, clusters, storage integration, and high availability (HA/DRS) configurations.


1.3 Administer Windows
environments such as Windows servers, Active Directory, Certificate authority, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Microsoft SCCM / MECM with full
operational ownership.



1.4 Execute advanced troubleshooting of system-level issues including OS, virtualization, storage, and
performance bottlenecks.


1.5 Manage and operate enterprise backup solutions such as Veeam Backup & Replication and Commvault,
including job configuration, failure analysis, restore validation, and DR testing.



1.6 Perform regular backup verification and
execute full and partial restore scenarios to ensure data integrity and recovery readiness.


1.7 Configure and manage storage
environments (SAN/NAS), including LUN provisioning, datastore management, and performance tuning.



1.8 Execute system patching,
updates, and upgrades across servers and infrastructure components with minimal service disruption.


1.9 Perform vulnerability
scanning, analyze results, and execute remediation actions including patching, configuration hardening, and risk mitigation.



1.10
Perform hands-on configuration and support of hybrid cloud environments across Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services, including VM
provisioning, networking, storage, and identity integration.


1.11 Execute workload migrations between on-premise and cloud
environments, including replication, cutover planning, and post-migration validation.



1.12 Configure and maintain secure
connectivity between on-premises and cloud environments (VPN, identity synchronization, access control).


1.13 Perform hands-on
server provisioning, rack installation, cabling coordination, and hardware troubleshooting within the data center environment.



1.14
Monitor system performance, resource utilization, and system health, and take proactive corrective actions to prevent outages.


1.15
Troubleshoot and resolve complex incidents across infrastructure layers including compute, storage, network dependencies, and applications.



1.16 Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues and implement permanent corrective actions.


1.17 Configure and
support enterprise monitoring tools and alerts, ensuring timely detection and response to system issues.



1.18 Support and configure
firewall and security solutions including Fortinet FortiGate and endpoint/XDR platforms such as Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.


1.19 Perform hands-on security configuration, including firewall rules review, endpoint protection tuning, and system hardening.



1.20 Administer and secure Microsoft 365 and Exchange environments, including mailbox security, anti-phishing policies, and access
control.


1.21 Implement and enforce secure baseline configurations across servers and endpoints in alignment with security best
practices.



1.22 Manage endpoint and mobility solutions including Microsoft Intune, including device enrollment, compliance policies,
and secure access enforcement.


1.23 Execute disaster recovery procedures, including failover, failback, and DR drills to validate
recovery objectives (RTO/RPO).



1.24 Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation including configurations, diagrams,
SOPs, and troubleshooting procedures.


1.25 Ensure all operational activities are logged, documented, and aligned with change
management and governance processes.



1.26 Actively participate in infrastructure projects including system upgrades, migrations, and
new deployments with hands-on technical execution.


1.27 Work closely with vendors and internal teams to troubleshoot issues,
implement solutions, and optimize system performance.



1.28 Continuously evaluate and improve system performance, security posture,
and operational efficiency through hands-on optimization and automation.


Qualification

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related
    field.
  • Proven hands-on experience in enterprise infrastructure and systems administration, with approximately 4 to 7
    years of relevant experience.
  • Proven hands-on experience in data center environments and hybrid cloud architectures.
  • Strong practical technical experience in Microsoft technologies and Microsoft 365 ecosystem, virtualization platforms,
    and enterprise backup solutions.
  • Good working knowledge of networking and cybersecurity concepts, including firewalls,
    endpoint security, and access control.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and technical documentation skills.
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices, including incident, problem, and change management.
  • Demonstrated
    problem-solving capabilities with the ability to handle complex technical issues.
  • Effective communication and
    interpersonal skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Ability to take ownership and
    deliver in hands-on technical environments.
  • Relevant professional certifications in networking, virtualization, cloud,
    or cybersecurity (such as CCNA, MCSA, VCP, NSE4, Azure, or AWS) are preferred.
