The Adult Basic Skills (ABS) department is seeking applicants for a casual CASAS (Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment System) exam testing proctor.

What You’ll Do and Who We Are Looking For


The CASAS exam proctor will provide support to the instructional program with specific responsibilities for performing detailed technical and clerical work; coordinating, monitoring, administering, training, scheduling, conducting and publicizing testing sessions; and ensuring compliance with legal and administrative requirements.

The position assists faculty and other staff in the administration of the CASAS assessment. We are currently looking for one proctor assistant at the Cascade campus, but prefer someone willing to occasionally support more than one campus (Cascade, Rock Creek, Southeast, Sylvania), or proctor Remote students.



These non-benefited casual positions will average 10-16 hours per week with busier times being at the start of registration period through week 2, and at the end of the term (week 7-finals week). $18.50/hour.

Casual Compensation Hourly Range
$16.30 – $24.95

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), you may view Portland Community College’s (PCC) most recent Annual Security Report (ASR) on the Department of Public Safety website. The ASR contains current security and safety-related policy disclosure statements, emergency preparedness and evacuation information, crime prevention and sexual assault prevention information and resources, and drug and alcohol prevention programming. The ASR also contains crime statistics for Clery Act crimes which occurred on PCC properties for the last three calendar years. Paper copies of the ASR are available upon request at all Department of Public Safety offices.
