Job Summary
The Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment’s Department of Horticulture seeks a Research Analyst. This position will participate in applied research and Extension field activities in concert with collaborating faculty on a 3-yearAppalachian Regional Commission grant and support farm operations at the Horticulture Research Farm (Lexington) as part of activities funded by the Kentucky Horticulture Council grant. Research support includes field preparation, planting, IPM monitoring and pesticide application as needed for a range of heritage seed crops, irrigation management, seed yield measurements, harvest and cleaning seed lots, inventory management, and data entry using Excel spreadsheet. Construction, management, and maintenance on seed harvesting and cleaning equipment. Contribute to research activities, overall management, and upkeep of the Horticulture Research Farm grounds and facilities. Other duties as assigned.
