Responsibilities
The Respiratory Therapist RRT is responsible for performing all Respiratory Care procedures in the general and critical care settings.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- High School (or GED equivalent) diploma.
- Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
- Licensed by the Texas Medical Board as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).
-
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
- Current ACLS certification.
- (RRT) Registered Respiratory Therapist verified through NBRC.
- Assignment to the ER or Pedi must have current PALS.
- Assignment to the NICU must have a current NRP.
