Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Tutor III for Academic Support Services.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
- Focuses on working with students with specific specialized academic needs.
- Meets with assigned at-risk students to review course materials.
- Assists with comprehension and develop study skills in students.
- Provides lesson plans to help students in achieving academic goals.
- Reports to academic support staff on students’ progress for assigned sessions.

Salary Details
$35 – $50 per hour

Minimum Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and five (5) years of relevant professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Patience, persistence, and positive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree strongly preferred.
- Experience in teaching, secondary education, and/or academic support with special populations is highly desired.
