PS Nurse Practitioner – Cardiology, Stansbury Community Clinic

Job Summary

The Division of
Cardiovascular Medicine is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to work on our team with an emphasis in general cardiology.
The position is an outpatient clinic-focused role, primarily based out of our Stansbury community clinic. The position will
involve both independent work and close collaboration with physician partner/s and other advanced practice clinicians.

Required:
Licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the
State of Utah.



Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
1. Assesses the physical condition of a group of patients by
performing physical examinations and obtaining medical histories.
2. Formulates the medical plan and prognosis based on the patient’s
condition.
3. Collaborate with health care teams regarding patient care plans and treatment.
4. Orders, interprets, and evaluates
diagnostic tests to identify and assess the patient’s clinical problems and health care needs.
5. Initiates and/or recommends medical
drug therapies or other forms of related therapeutic treatment and procedures in accordance with approved protocols/policy.
6. Complies
with medical records policies regarding the complete and accurate documentation of patient care. Initiates and maintains required records
and legal documents.
7. Participates in quality improvement activities.
8. Counsel patients, families and significant others about
health and illness, and promotes health maintenance.
10. Evaluates, plans, implements, and re-evaluates the care of individuals requiring
emergency measures.

Minimum Qualifications
Required
Licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of
Utah.
Preferred
Certification in ACLS/BLS/NRP/ATLS may be required by your department or by privileging criteria.
Utah State
prescriptive privileges.
Licensure is obtained by completing a Master’s degree in Nursing or equivalency (the only equivalency to the
Master’s degree is current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner) and a National Certification which requires the successful completion of a
nationally accredited examination.
UHPPM 1-56 requires that newly hired non-physician providers apply for credentialing and privileging
at the time of hire.
This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements. We protect our patients, coworkers
and community by requiring all patient-sensitive employees to be immunized according to CDC standards and hospital policy. Limited
exemptions may be made for documented medical contraindications or religious beliefs that object to vaccinations.
