The Administrative Assistant is responsible for managing communications and scheduling for the Campus Logistics business office and various Campus Logistics facilities. These facilities include Print and Mailing Services, Postal Services, Student Mail Center, and Warehouse Services. The Administrative Assistant is also responsible for maintaining office operations and cleanliness at the Campus Logistics business office.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for day-to-day operational tasks to ensure seamless function of the Campus Logistics business office, including providing a high level of customer service to guests, answering phone calls, supervising office cleanliness, submitting work orders, and recording and purchasing inventory.
  • Manage Workday processes including job postings, transfers, terminations, and other workday duties upon request.
  • Complete day-to-day operational tasks to ensure seamless function of communications and avoiding management scheduling oversights.
  • Effectively communicate to team members, by meeting with staff to coordinating facility tours and day of details.
  • Assist in the management of the departmental email and voicemail inboxes, responding to questions or request in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with the Transportation office regarding any vehicle related inspections, renewals, and repairs.
  • Responsible for keeping up with department computer lists.
  • Responsible for purchasing and inventorying office supplies
  • Assist in updating and combining reports from all areas of Campus Logistics.
  • Perform all other tasks assigned by management with administrative tasks and projects.
  • Attend all required Campus Logistics meetings.
  • Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU’s mission.
  • Strictly adheres to Liberty University policies, representing the University in an exemplary manner.
  • Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU’s Christian model and Mission – Training Champions for Christ.
  • Create training manuals and onboard new hires for all Campus Logistics
  • Learn to work with budgets and budgeting software
  • Work closely with Director team on strategic plan and monthly reporting
  • Remain up to date on industry standards and performance benchmarks and ensure that Campus Logistics communications and office operations remain effective and current

QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS
Education and Experience


  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, problem solving ability and attention to detail.
  • Strong ability to multitask.
  • 1-2 years of experience in this or a related field
  • Four-year college degree from an accredited university in Business, Communications, or a related field

Driving Requirements

To obtain LU-approved driver certification, individuals must be 21 years of age or older, possess a valid driver’s license with a minimum of five (5) years of documented driving history, and maintain a clean driving record.

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and climb stairs to move about the campus.
  • Handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop in order to conduct business.
  • Regularly lift 30 or fewer pounds.

Pay Range

Compensation is determined based on factors such as qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, along with University needs and external market conditions. Market benchmarks may be used, as appropriate, in combination with internal equity to ensure pay is fair and aligned with the broader compensation structure.



The position may also be eligible for comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and tuition assistance.



$18.27 – $21.15
