Head Athletic Trainer

Job Description

Sarah Lawrence College seeks applicants for the
full time, 10 month position of Head Athletic Trainer. The Head Athletic Trainer is responsible for all facets of the Sports Medicine Office
and administering proper care, prevention, training and support for SLCs 14 NCAA Division III teams.

Essential Duties Summary

Essential responsibilities include, but
are not limited to:

• Injury prevention, evaluation, management, and treatment of athletic injuries
• Short-term
  and long-term rehabilitation of athletic injuries
• Education and counseling of student-athletes
• Daily medical coverage or
  coordination of coverage for all practices and home competitions, including visiting teams.
• The head athletic trainer will also
  supervise the assistant athletic trainer.

Required Qualifications

Minimum
qualifications:

• Bachelors degree (masters degree preferred)
• Certification in athletic training by the NATABOC
• Certification in first aid, CPR and AED; New York
  State Board License (or be eligible).

Preferred Qualifications

At least 3 years athletic training experience
preferred.
