Job Duties
The Human
Resources Undergraduate/Graduate Internship Program at Morgan State University provides students with hands-on experience across various HR
functions. Interns will work alongside HR professionals, gaining insights into recruitment, employee relations, training, benefits
administration, and general HR operations. Below is a breakdown of how this internship aligns with different HR
departments:
1. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Assist with job postings, resume
screenings, and interview scheduling. - Support the onboarding and orientation process for new hires.
- Help identify
potential candidates and maintain recruitment databases.
2. Employee Relations &
Compliance
- Support HR initiatives that promote a positive work environment.
3. Training &
Development
- Organize HR events, professional development workshops, and training sessions.
- Conduct research
on industry trends and best practices in HR. - Prepare reports on employee engagement and training effectiveness.
4. Compensation & Benefits
- Help ensure employees understand their compensation and benefits
options. - Support compliance efforts related to benefits and labor laws.
5. HR Administration &
Support
- Manage HR documents, correspondence, and scheduling.
- Provide administrative support for HR
operations and projects. - Maintain databases and assist in preparing HR-related presentations.

Requested Minimum
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in an undergraduate or Graduate program in
Business Administration, or a related field at Morgan State University. - Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Must be a junior or senior (for undergraduate)
- Maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Excellent communication and
interpersonal abilities. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HR software is a plus.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving
skills. - Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a professional setting.
Other Preferences
for Consideration
- Previous HR-related experience or internship is preferred but not required.
