Description
Summary:
Assists in managing and coordinating the business and service
programs of Alabama A&M University (AAMU) Athletics Business Office. The Ticket & Business Operations Assistant participates in the daily
sale and assignment of tickets for athletic events, provides support and assistance for athletic ticket operations, and performs duties
essential to the Athletic Business Office.

Duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Handles daily ticket office sales and
provides customer support as it relates to online and in-person ticket sales, including proficiency with the athletics ticketing
system. - Maintains appropriate ticket sales records.
- Follows all NCAA, university, and athletics department policies and
procedures as they relate to cash/revenue collection and inventory control. - Provides administrative support to the Athletics
Business Office and part-time coaches. - Prepares and inputs requisitions in the Banner system for assigned Olympic sports and the
Athletics Business Office. - Contributes to the overall success of the athletics department by performing other duties and
responsibilities as assigned by the Vice President and Director of Athletics and/or their designee. - Performs some weekend and
evening job duties. - Performs other duties as assigned.
Typical
Qualifications
Minimum Position Requirements (including certifications, licenses, etc.):
- Bachelor’s degree
in business or other related field and at least two (2) years of business, sales experience, and customer service experience in an athletic
department or other customer-related environment.
OR
- An equivalent combination of relevant education and/or
experience.

- Proficiency with the athletics ticketing system

- Strong verbal
and written communication skills - Excellent interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with computers and the internet, specifically
Microsoft Excel and Word - Good organizational and time management skills
