Salary

The annual salary for this position ranges from $65,300 to $70,000. The final offer will be commensurate with the candidate’s relevant experience and qualifications.

Purpose of Position

The Program Director for Student Ready Initiatives supports and serves as a key operational leader in the implementation and delivery of student-ready initiatives that advance the University’s goals of improving retention and student success, particularly for historically underserved and at-promise populations. This role provides oversight and coordination of summer programming, Academic Testing Services, and the Student Ready Peer (SRP) program. The Program Director ensures initiatives are effectively managed, aligned with institutional priorities, and delivered in compliance with university policies.



Essential Functions


Summer Programs

  • Provide leadership and coordination for the implementation and ongoing delivery of summer programming, supporting the development and execution of initiatives to ensure they are effectively planned, staffed, and sustained.
  • Oversee key aspects of program operations, including coordination across admissions, scheduling, and program delivery, to ensure a cohesive, efficient, and student-centered experience.

Student Ready Peer (SRP) Program

  • Oversee Student Ready Peer programming and related student support services, including peer mentoring and coaching initiatives.
  • Manage the recruitment, hiring, training, and supervision of student employees serving as peer coaches.
  • Establish performance expectations, provide ongoing guidance, and monitor service delivery to ensure services are delivered effectively and aligned with student success goals, particularly for historically underserved and at-promise student populations.

Academic Testing Services


  • Provide administrative and operational oversight for Academic Testing Services.
  • Supervise full-time staff, including assigning responsibilities, managing workflows, and supporting staff performance and development.
  • Ensure compliance with institutional policies, testing standards, and applicable guidelines while maintaining efficient, student-centered operations.

Assessment, Data Analysis, and Reporting

  • Collaborate with analytics partners to collect, analyze, and report program data across summer programming, SRP, and testing services.
  • Utilize data to inform decision-making, measure program effectiveness, and support continuous improvement efforts.

Cross-Functional Collaboration


  • Partner with campus stakeholders to support coordination, alignment, and effective delivery of student success initiatives across functional areas

Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two (2) years of experience as an administrator at an institution of higher education, including familiarity with student success issues in higher education and experience with retention and graduation best practices and experience working with historically underserved populations.
  • One (1) year of supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or terminal degree and a minimum of four (4) years of experience as an administrator at an institution of higher education.
  • Three (3) years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience with data analytics.

  • Excellent organizational, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work with data sets.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with varying stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.


Work Schedule

  • Monday through Friday; 8:00am through 5:00pm
  • Some evenings and weekends

  • May work around standard office conditions.
  • Requires occasional evening or weekend hours
