Position Summary
Processes College payroll and related financial activities, ensuring accuracy, timely reporting, and compliance with applicable regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Processes payroll, deductions, benefits, direct deposits, and related employee records.
- Serves as the College’s TRS reporting official and maintains required payroll documentation.
- Prepares payroll tax filings, W-2s, liabilities, reconciliations, and financial reports.
- Researches and resolves payroll discrepancies and processes necessary adjustments.
- Supports audits and collaborates with departments to maintain accurate payroll operations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Payroll Administration, or related field.
- Two (2) years of payroll processing or payroll management experience.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Higher education or public-sector payroll experience
- Experience with ERP payroll/HR systems
- Bilingual English/Spanish
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of payroll, taxation, benefits, and reporting requirements. Strong attention to detail, reconciliation, organizational, communication, and customer service skills. Proficiency with ERP systems, spreadsheets, and standard office software; ability to maintain confidentiality and work extended hours during peak payroll periods.
