Summary of Job Duties and Responsibilities
Routine fiscal tasks of restricted funds, including grant and cost sharing reconciliations, and agency invoicing and reporting as well as office administrative and accounting duties.
- Specific Job Duties:
- Review month e-print reports to ensure documentation is complete and accurate for permanent grant file
- Prepare and send final invoices to agencies
- Reconcile and initiate closing of grants once final payment is received
- Index grant documents in BDMS
- Process receivables
- Prepare and send monthly BVC invoices
- Annual subcontract monitoring
- Supervise student workers
- Office Administrative duties include:
- Coordinate ordering office supplies
- Maintain office purchasing card
- Office Accounting duties include:
- Reconcile and mail checks
- Petty Cash
- Perform other duties as requested by supervisory personnel
Minimum Education Requirements
- Two years of college in a business-related field
Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements
- Four years of general accounting/bookkeeping experience. Additional related education may be exchanged for up to two years of required experience.
- Must possess excellent office, organization, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Computer skills required, including knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
- Must be able to work with a variety of people.
- Ability to work with details, memory for oral and written directions, alertness, initiative, ability to plan and make decisions and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Keyboarding, office management and procedures, word processing, database management, microcomputer, and other office machines.
Hourly Rate/Annual Salary
$15.95 (Additional pay dependent upon qualifications)
Staff Grade: 104
Work Hours: Normal working hours
