PURPOSE:

The Administrative Data Assistant is responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining health and nutrition-related data to support nutrition programs throughout the state of Missouri under Lincoln University. This role ensures the integrity of state programs, and reporting data used for compliance, planning, and evaluation. The position requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to work with multiple data systems.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:


  • The position will collect and enter information to support the evaluation components of EFNEP and other health and nutrition programs within Lincoln University Cooperative Extension (LUCE). This entails communicating with other nutrition & health program staff within LUCE and collaborating partners, entering data from field staff, analyzing data, conducting background research and assisting with reports as needed.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency; identify and correct errors.
  • Generate basic reports, spreadsheets, and summaries to support nutrition staff.
  • Assist with tracking program enrollment, attendance, and service utilization.
  • File, scan, and organize nutrition program documentation.
  • Support compliance reporting for institutional, grant-funded, or government-supported nutrition programs.
  • Respond to routine data requests from program staff and supervisor.
  • Protect confidentiality of participants and health-related information in accordance with
    FERPA, HIPAA (if applicable), and institutional guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with nutrition staff, administrative offices, and other departments as needed.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Personal Characteristics

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong organizational skills are a must.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook software programs.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations


  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Reliable personal transportation with liability insurance in effect is required and maintained throughout employment.
  • Ability to travel throughout service area.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • May require extensive standing or walking.
  • Should be able to move or lift objects weighing 20 -50 pounds.
