The Office of Institutional Effectiveness/ Enterprise Data Management and Analytics (EDMA) is
responsible for the collection, development, and maintenance of data resources to provide the foundation for all data analysis and reporting
needs and supports the strategic planning and policy-making processes at Georgia State University. EDMA facilitates the flow of accurate,

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO
The position will provide technical and professional expertise in planning, developing, testing, and documenting integrated computer
application programs for enterprise data warehouse and ensure that program modules conform to coding standards under general supervision.
The responsibility of this role includes gathering, documenting, and analyzing business processes and related system information and
coordinating with functional, cross-functional, and technical teams to develop and implement solutions. This role collaborates with data
administrators and stewards in developing data models that will best meet the decision support needs of the campus.
- Provides
strategic, analytical, governance and systems support for a data warehouse aimed at optimizing the utilization of Georgia State University’s
data resources. - Assists in business process analysis and evaluation of user requests for new or modified programs. Provide
support to end users regarding data definitions and data usage. Assist end users in query writing against warehouse tables. -
Assists in developing the warehouse data dictionary and the documents of warehouse business practices. Assists in a Data Governance project
as a role of a functional and technical writer. - Provides support for Pentaho servers and client environments. Monitoring nightly
ETL processes. - Assists in source to target mapping data. Assists in building data modeling by designing rules and key
constraints. - Monitors nightly ETL processes as needed.
- Tests, documents, and performs quality assurance on code.
Assists in peer code review. - Assists in developing the warehouse data dictionary and the documentation of warehouse business
practices.

Qualifications:
Minimum
Hiring Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and three years of related experience; or a combination of education and
related experience.
Preferred Hiring Qualifications:
- Work experience in higher education,
particularly institutional data warehousing, is highly desirable. - Extensive experience in Hitachi Vantara Analytics platform
especially in PDI (Pentaho Data Integration) and Spoon client components. - Experience supporting the design, development, testing,
and deployment of Workday integrations and workday integration technologies such as EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Studio, BIRT, or Workday
web services/APIs - Knowledge in Ellucian Banner student systems and PeopleSoft Human Resource Systems and PeopleSoft Financial
Systems. - Experience in data management in higher education. In-depth knowledge of database and data warehouse structures as well
as business intelligence tools and system implementation. - Experience with reporting application Argos and BI application Oracle
