required WorkKeys assessment at
WorkOne Bloomington, 1531 South Curry Pike, Ste 200, Bloomington, Indiana 47403.

• Contact Jane
  Wampler at WorkOne Bloomington at 812-558-9280 to schedule the WorkKeys assessment. Once scheduled, an email will be sent to you with test
  day information and login credentials to allow you to practice online for this assessment.
• Seating is limited and appointments are
  scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis as applicants contact WorkOne. The WorkKeys assessment is offered on Wednesdays at 8:30 AM.
  When scheduling your appointment, be sure to include the Wednesday date you want to attend and the 8:30 AM time. .
• If you have taken
  WorkKeys at a prior time, contact Jane Wampler to see if those scores can be retrieved.

Step 4: Submit the following documents
(all listed documents must be submitted to be considered):

1. A minimum of 3 professional references and/or letters of
   recommendation. Examples of professional references include teachers, counselors and managers/supervisors. References/recommendation letters
   must be original copies and written within the last 6 months.
2. Transcripts, certifications and other supporting documents verifying
   education and additional education/training. Examples of documentation include: high school transcripts, college or vocational transcripts,
   specific trade or craft Journey card or certificate, DOL Bureau of Apprenticeship certification, military documentation.
   Note: Copies of
   High School Diplomas will not satisfy this requirement.

Department Information

Capital Planning and Facilities (CPF) works to ensure that IU campuses are beautiful, functional, and
sustainable supporting excellence in teaching, learning, research, and community engagement across the entire university. A unit within CPF,
Facility Operations, maintains our physical campus to
support research, teaching, and learning at Indiana University Bloomington. As a unit of Capital Planning and Facilities, Facility
Operations provides wide-ranging services all with the goal of creating a beautiful, well-functioning campus.

Job
Summary

General Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs elevators, escalators, chairlifts, conveyors. and
  machine rooms/pits. Inspects wiring connection, control panel hookups, door installation, and alignment and clearance of car
  hoistway.
• Operates elevator to determine power demand and tests power consumption to detect overload factors. Reads schematics and
  troubleshoots elevator malfunctions. May perform acceptance and routine inspections, witness tests, and report results of the inspection and
  testing.
• Orders parts through supervisor. Repairs and replaces worn/damaged components as needed. Cleans, repairs, or replaces
  controller components as needed. Cleans machine room and elevator pits.
• Removes passengers from stuck elevators.
• Performs
  work under the guidance of a journey level elevator mechanic
• Completes assigned apprentice coursework
• Performs other general
  building maintenance as needed.
• Drives vehicle.

• Possess a valid driver’s license with the ability to be insured by Indiana
  University.

Working Conditions /
Demands

This role requires the ability to remain in a stationary position as well as the ability to move about the workplace for
long durations. It requires effective communication, the ability to operate machinery, tools, and controls. The role requires the ability to
ascend/descend ladders/stairs, and to position one’s self in low level positions, detect a variety of chemicals and/or gases. The role
requires the ability to ascend to rooftops and move in tight spaces to perform and complete inspections. The person in this role must be
able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

Additional Information

Indiana University
Apprenticeship Program (IUAP), Bloomington Campus, is accepting applications for 2 Apprentice positions in the Elevator craft work. The work
shifts can vary from first and second shifts. The selected candidates will engage in a 4-year apprenticeship training program within the
Facility Operations department that will involve

1. On-the-job training under the guidance of journey-level
   workers.
2. Related classroom training over the duties and responsibilities of the associated trade.

Selected candidate is
required to successfully complete approximately 144 classroom training hours during each of the 4 years of the apprenticeship period. The
classroom sessions are paid by IU. The hours of required classroom attendance are non-compensated. Classroom sessions generally occur twice
per week and are scheduled outside of the daily work hours.

Applicants must meet the minimum WorkKeys assessment levels in the
following sections: Applied Math, Applied Technology, Locating Information, and Reading for Information.
