POSTED JOB TITLE: Assistant Athletic
Director/Head Athletic Trainer


JOB DESCRIPTION: The Assistant Athletic Director/Head Athletic Trainer
positionat Cameron University is afull-time, 12-month assignment. All members of the Athletic Staff are expected to be team players
supporting each other while promoting the mission of the University, supporting the philosophy of the Athletic Department, and assuring the
well-being of all student athletes. The Assistant Athletic Director/Head Athletic Trainer will be responsible for the development and
implementation of a high-quality collegiate athletic training program, which is in conformity with NCAA, conference and university rules,
regulations and policies.

Job Duties as Assistant Athletic Director/Head Athletic Trainer include, but are not limited to:


  • Care and prevention of sports related injuries.
  • Evaluation ofall sports related injuries.
  • Rehabilitation of student
    athlete’s injuries as needed.
  • Build relationships with medical experts in local community.
  • Handle allathletic insurance
    claims of the student athletes.
  • Develops abudget within the allocated institutional resources and manages expenditures of funds
    within the developed budget.
  • Supervisesprofessional and student assistants.
  • Developsschedules for athletic training
    coverage during practices and competition.
  • Develops daily training room hours of operation.
  • Active involvement in
    community service activities.
  • Assure theacademic success of the student trainers.
  • Responsible for the daily maintenance
    and upkeep of the athletic training rooms andequipment within the Aggie Gym.
  • Other duties asassigned.

REQUIRED
QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Masters Degree required
  2. BOC Certified
  3. Certified in CPR and First Aid.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  1. Athletic Training experience at the college level.
  2. Strong interpersonal and
    communication skills.
  3. Demonstrated organizational and management ability.
  4. Strong work ethic with a team player’s positive
    attitude.
