Description
A.T. Still
University (ATSU) is seeking a non-exempt, full-time Service Worker in its Environmental Services Department on the Kirksville, Missouri,
campus. The position reports to the Environmental Services Supervisor. The service worker will perform diversified cleaning duties
throughout campus. They will generally work alone, but may at times work as part of a team while completing projects. Must have a desire and
ability to detail cleaning. May be assigned other tasks on an occasional basis. The hours for this position are 5:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
Monday-Friday. Must be able to work limited overtime as needed for special events and snow removal in the winter which may include some
weekend hours.

Major Job Duties

• Must be able to clean designated interior of building areas including but not
  limited to dusting/wiping down surfaces, sinks, counter tops, desks, chairs, windows, fixtures and ledges.
• Clean hard surface and
  carpet covered floors.
• Detail clean restrooms.
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles.
• Re-stock supply carts,
  closets, and designated areas.
• High-dusting, edge work around cove base on carpeted and hard surface flooring, window ledges,
  etc.
• Respond to requests for immediate cleaning needs including but not limited to spills and trash removal.
• Provide
  cleaning services to remove excess trash and food after events and meetings.
• Furniture moving, wall washing.
• Special event
  set-ups.
• Snow removal.
• Delivering packages from mailroom to specified locations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Skills & Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Work in cold and
  hot environments.
• Ability to move around freely in a building, including navigating stairs and ramps, is important.
• Ability
  to use hand tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Ability to understand and follow both oral and written instructions from
  supervisors.
• Ability to work independently and take the initiative to complete tasks without constant supervision is often
  required.
• Ability to adapt to changes in work assignments and priorities is essential.
• Ability to identify and solve
  problems related to cleanliness and safety.
