General Description of the Position
Under the direct supervision of the Supervisor of Fleet Services, provides driving services for a MCI passenger bus to transport University personnel.
Essential Functions & Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Essential Functions:
- Transport faculty, staff and/or students to various University sponsored events.
- Maintain drivers log as per ICC regulations.
- Perform pre and post transport safety inspection of equipment.
Additional Duties And Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Transport faculty, staff and students when necessary.
- Performs other related tasks.
Qualification Standards
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid motor vehicle operator license with CDL (passenger endorsement).
- Good physical condition as required by State of Delaware for operating motor vehicles.
- Ability to pass ICC drivers physical.
- Positive driving record.
- High moral character and neat appearance.
- Communicate clearly, orally and in writing.
- Demonstrate motor vehicle mechanical aptitude.
